How to Create & Vote on Proposals

Creating a Proposal (Council Members Only)

  1. Navigate to the LinkedNation DAO: (We’ll provide a link soon. Keep reading!)

  2. Click “New Proposal”: This button is only available to council token holders.

  3. Title & Description:

    • Write a clear, detailed reason for the proposal. Remember, you’re speaking to both the community and future generations (okay, maybe not that far).

  4. Select Proposal Type / Add Instructions:

    • Choose your desired instruction(s)—transfer, burn, mint, upgrade program, etc.

    • Be absolutely sure you set up these instructions correctly. If you slip up, you might burn tokens you didn’t intend to burn.

  5. Publish/Submit:

    • You’ll confirm a transaction in your wallet. This step effectively immortalizes your proposal on the blockchain.

  6. Promote Your Proposal:

    • Post in Discord, Telegram, or your local town crier—let the community know why it matters and how they should vote.

Voting on a Proposal (All $NATION Holders)

  1. Navigate to the LinkedNation DAO: (We’ll provide a link soon. Keep reading!)

  2. Connect Your Wallet to Realms

    • Make sure your wallet extension is installed (Phantom, Solflare, etc.) and that you hold $NATION.

  3. Open the Proposal

    • In the LinkedNation Realm, find the “Proposals” tab. Locate the one you’re interested in.

  4. Cast Your Vote

    • Options typically include: Vote Yes and Vote No (or variations, depending on the proposal type).

    • Multiple choice proposals will include the multiple options to select.

  5. Transaction Confirmation

    • Approve the voting transaction in your wallet. There’s usually a small SOL network fee.

  6. Voting Window: 7 days

    • You can change your vote anytime before the window closes. Once it’s done, it’s done!

  7. Final Execution:

    • If the proposal passes with 51% approval (of participating votes), it moves to execution. Some proposals auto-execute; others need a final “Execute” click to kick things off.
